The name of the country is Botswana, and its citizens are collectively called Batswana. One national is a Motswana, and the name of the language and the adjective applied to culture is Setswana.
Location
Botswana lies between latitude 18 degrees and 27 degrees south and longitudes 20 degrees and 28 degrees west. It is a landlocked country in the center of Southern Africa, standing 1000 meters above sea level and surrounded by Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa and Namibia. Botswana covers an area of 581,730 sq. km; approximately the size of France and Madagascar, and 70 per cent of the country is dessert.
